Cultivation & Care Tips

Sowing & Germination:

Pre-grow tomatoes and cucumbers on a bright windowsill from March. Radishes and looseleaf lettuce can be sown directly outdoors in successions (every few weeks) from April. This ensures a continuous harvest.

Location & Soil:

Choose a sunny to semi-shady and warm location. The soil should be deep, loose, and nutrient-rich.

Outdoors:

Only plant tomatoes and cucumbers outdoors from mid-May (after the Ice Saints). Remember to provide support (stake) for the tomato.

Care & Harvest:

Water regularly! Radishes and cucumbers, especially, become woody or bitter if they lack water. Lettuce and radishes can be harvested after just a few weeks, while tomatoes and cucumbers will supply you until autumn.
